In addition, small packaging also avoids matcha powder from getting oxidized if you keep an opened bag for too long. Oxidized matcha affects the color and flavor notes, leading to a more bittery after taste.

Usage
Pure Uji Matcha with no artificial flavorings, colors, or additives. Suitable for Beverage and Cooking (pastries, cakes, waffles, gelato & etc).
Brewing Guide
5g of pure uji matcha with 8g of sugar, froth together with 130ml of milk. Adjust according to preference.
Storage Recommendation
Store unopened bag in the refrigerator between 0 and 10 degrees, to ensure longer lasting freshness and aroma. Once opened, keep in air-tight container, in a cool & dry place and consume as soon as possible.
What is Matcha?
In the 14th century, tea plantations were established in the mountains of Uji, Kyoto. Since then Matcha from Uji has steadily improved and is recognized as the best quality tea in Japan.
Kyoto is the birth place of tea ceremony and also the seat of other traditional culture. In Kyoto, the tea ceremony has had an historic influence or diverse cultures such as ceramic works, paintings and architecture.
Green tea Uji matcha is sweet and mild with a low level of bitterness. Tea leaves which will become Matcha are cultivated by covering with reed blinds to limit sunlight from 20 days before the harvest.
This method, for growing delicious tea, was started in the 17th century. As a result, this increases theanine (amino acid derivative commonly found in tea), which produce sweetness. On the other hand, it decreases the catechin (tannin), which produce the astringent taste.
Our expert farmers carefully hand-pick the tip of new sprouts, which also make less astringently flavored tea.

It’s is one of the best matcha powder that I have taste to date. Can use as traditional Japanese method in brewing. It has a smooth texture, pleasant, but not astringent bitterness, nuttiness, and a smooth sweetness.
