Auresso is a pure green tea uji hojicha powder supplier based in KL, Malaysia. We ship Worldwide! Auresso works directly with Kiyosen Japan to bring down their premium pure uji hojicha powder on regular basis. We package it in small 100g bags to ensure freshness. In addition, small packaging also avoids hojicha powder from getting oxidized if you keep an opened bag for too long. Oxidized hojicha affects the color and flavor notes, leading to a more bittery after taste.
We are proud to partner with Izumi San and being their uji hojicha powder supplier for Malaysia.

Izumi San / Company President of Kiyosen Japan
“I was born the second son into a tea farmer’s family in Uji Tawara town, Kyoto, which has 200 years of history. I grew up watching and helping in the tea cultivation and production. In my thirties I start to focus on a mail-order business which we started in 1955, and then established the Kiyosen Co. Ltd when we were officially accredited as tea appraisers in 1997.
Taking advantage of living in a tea farming town and practicing the strictest day to day quality control, we provide Ujicha, known as the best Japanese tea, to the world.
I hope you will enjoy our time-honored quality tea, also known as the golden potion for perpetual youth and longevity.”
What is Hojicha or Houjicha powder?
In the 14th century, tea plantations were established in the mountains of Uji, Kyoto. Since then Hojicha from Uji has steadily improved and is recognized as the best quality tea in Japan.
Kyoto is the birth place of tea ceremony and also the seat of other traditional culture. In Kyoto, the tea ceremony has had an historic influence or diverse cultures such as ceramic works, paintings and architecture.
Uji Hojicha is sweet and mild with a low level of bitterness. It has a pleasant aroma.
Houjicha or Hojicha simply refers to any roasted Japanese green tea. There are various types and grades depending on what part of tea a producer choose to roast.
Our Uji Hojicha powder has no catechin and no Caffeine. The roasting process burns away bitterness and also caffeine. As such, it provides relaxation effects and good for children. In addition, this means you can also consume Hojicha at later part of the day.
Our expert farmers carefully hand-pick the tip of new sprouts, which also make less astringently flavored tea.

Auresso as a Hojicha Powder Supplier
Auresso takes great care of the product being the distributor and supplier of Kiyosen green tea hojicha powder in Malaysia. Kiyosen pack our orders in strictly 100g foil packs. This ensures that when you open a bag, only a small amount of powder is exposed at any point of time. As long as you close the pack and seal in an air-tight container after use, the hojicha powder will stay fresh, even better if you refrigerate it. While this small packaging increases cost, we find that operationally it is a very sustainable solution for both home and business use.
